Aims
& Overview We
have a huge selection of events. All projects are all designed to be fun for every
participant, and as a result the screening session is usually a comedy cabaret
session in it's own right! At the same time, the groups and teams are put under
pressure to create an end product, and the effect of the teambuilding exercise
is to consolidate working groups, enhance communication and encourage good use
of motivational tactics within working relationships. Within
the studio groups, every person has a role to perform, either as a writer, director,
props manager, crew member or as part of the cast, and we encourage everyone to
take a personal interest in the success of the operation. Each
exercise can be tailored to suit the needs of the client. We would recommend sessions
of approximately four hours, to allow for 1 - 1.5 hours preparation and scripting,
1 hour of filming and 1 hour of editing, with a further short session to screen
the final product. Shorter sessions (for a recommended minimum of 1 hour) are
available for gap-fillers for conferences and training sessions if required, with
the final product used to consolidate a session's activities.
The
Projects We
have a number of projects, which can be undertaken in team units, or as teams
working together to produce an overall project, and are happy to tailor the events
to suit the requirements of individuals and groups. Below is a selection of our
most popular Film and TV Projects: |
|
| Movie
Star
Suitable for larger groups or individual teams, each studio is challenged to make
a short film, a Drama, Documentary or Comedy, which will be edited and presented
to the group at the end of the event. Larger groups collaborate, and studios produce
a five-minute section of the longer film, with one unit taking over where the
previous left off.
This requires a concentration on individual efforts as well as enhancing collaboration
between the units as a group. Many clients use this teambuilding exercise during
an afternoon event, and 'premier' the final edited movie during the evening at
a themes Oscar ceremony for example, where prizes are awarded for the acting,
production and directorial achievements and turkeys! |

|
| News
Hound The group is challenged to produce a short 'outside broadcast'
or 'recorded live on location' news clip broadcast, which can be edited together
to produce a round-up of the days events. Before the session, each group is given
their 'lead' and the basis of the story they will be reporting on. It is up to
the researchers to find a reliable witness to the event, and report in a professional
and newsworthy manner (Think along the lines of 'The Day Today'!) Like 'Movie
Star' this event can be carried on into an award ceremony for intrepid reporters,
and somehow unhinged 'anchormen'! | |
The
Right Honourable Again suitable for single teams or larger
groups, each studio is responsible for producing a party political broadcast,
which they must write, direct and edit with the assistance of our technician.
We would normally provide them with a rather radical Manifesto, which they must
adhere to throughout the broadcast, and further challenges, such as inserting
a hidden message, can be put to groups. If this is used as a challenge for larger
groups, a vote is carried out immediately after the screening, to produce a winning
candidate for your local MP! Please keep the acceptance speech short...! |
|
| Crime
Clock Larger than life versions of the ever-popular TV reconstructions,
your group is provided with information and police assistance relating to a hideous
crime, and are required to produce a short reconstruction of the event to be broadcast
to a tragedy-hungry public. The normal events are as heinous as the theft of a
chicken from the local egg farm, or the fatal stabbing of a mannequin in the local
C&A, and the team must formulate their own Means, Motives and Opportunities
to begin the search for the dastardly deed-doer. Within larger groups, the finger
can most definitely be pointed at someone close to everyone's heart... the boss
perhaps? |

|
| Sand
to Saudi Your
team is challenged to produce the most professional advertisement possible, for
one of the silliest or pointless inventions ever thought up by our think-tank.
With the shortest possible of remits, the group must design and create their entire
marketing campaign and a five minute product advertisement along the lines of
a home shopping channel broadcast, with the intention of selling as many of the
products as possible to the remaining teams!
